[Dr. Susan Taylor's RX for Brown Skin]

Dear Rx for Brown Skin Community:

I have always been pleased that Black History Month comes at the beginning of the year. Both the new year and Black History Month are natural times for reflection. As I look back over the past year, I am saddened by the difficult time that so many Americans experienced. Nonetheless, I am inspired by the resilience of the American people who forge on, and by ordinary people who in times of crisis become heroes. During this Black History Month, I am most notably inspired by the extraordinary new leader of our country, Barack Hussein Obama. His passion, vision, commitment, brilliance, and compassion, surely guide and lead us to “hope and change”. I can only imagine the pride and joy that future generations of young students will feel when they learn about President Obama not only during Black History Month but throughout the entire school year.

This has been a year of tremendous accomplishment for Dr. Susan Taylor’s Rx for Brown Skin. The best in skin care for people of color is now offered in 139 Sephora stores throughout the country, 10 Dillard’s stores in the South, 2 Macy’s stores in the West, HSN, and on dermstore.com, skinstore.com and rxforbrownskin.com. But what I am most proud of is the fact that I have been able to make a meaningful difference in the health and beauty of the skin of thousands of women and men. My hope for you in 2009, is that you will be successful in every aspect of your life. and that you will find the change (even if it is as simple as changing your skin care routine) that you are searching for.

Warm regards,
Susan C. Taylor, MD
